Don’t worry, we still fully seasoned (dry) firewood!
Now why would we want to sell green (that is not seasoned) firewood you ask? For a few reasons:
– Less work…we only have to cut, split and load the wood once…instead of handling it and load it several times to get it seasoned and deliver it
– Our customers have been asking for species other than tamarack and poplar…Cheap Firewood can include birch, oak, ash, pine, cottonwood and apple among others
– It’s good for the environment…this is wood that otherwise would be hauled to the dump or left to rot. This way some warth and enjoyment comes from it.
Why would I order green wood you ask?
– Lower cost. $200/ cord split and delivered in Winnipeg and $175/cord delivered in rounds (not split) delivered in Winnipeg. This is up to a $100/ cord savings.
– You know you’ll have firewood when you need it. Sometimes if you wait till the Fall to order firewood there may be a delay or firewood providers may be sold out (hopefully not Firewood manitoa but you never know for sure).
