SEMI SEASONED BIRCH FIREWOOD (PICK UP)

All our birch (as well as all our other firewood) is sustainably harvested from public and private land by licensed loggers. As birch is a hardwood it burns longer than pine and creates more coals. Great for overnight heating through the Winter. Its papery bark makes an excellent firestarter.

What is semi-seasoned you ask? Semi-seasoned firewood has an internal moisture content of 30% or less (seasoned is considered 20% or less).

Why buy semi-seasoned birch firewood? By purchasing it before you need it for Winter 2024 / 2025 you can stack it where the Sun and the Wind have access to dry it out completely before you need seasoned firewood. You’ll be able to get the amount you need before we’re sold out as birch is our most popular hardwood.
By burning seasoned birch firewood you’ll have a fire that’s easier to start, gets up to temperature quicker and creates less smoke / creosote buildup vs. semi seasoned fuel.
